scratch on plasma screen

my 3 yr old decided to fuck up my 50" plasma tv by scratching the glass with a sharp object...maybe a thumb tack. Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it some how? I'm about to run to an electronics store and see if they have some magic wand...I just don't know what I'm up against in terms of repair costs. this sucks ass!

well sumbitch.... I called a local electronic repair shop and if the glass is separate, it will cost about $350 bucks to replace. If the glass is bonded to the panel, he said I could spend another 100 bucks and go buy a new fucking TV.

Don't sweat man, fixing scratched glass isn't the end of the world. If it is actually a glass surface there any several acrylics out there that can fill them so you don't have a terrible aberration in the picture. Just how deep is it?

I'll see if I can get a decent pic tonight...not sure if my camera can. I can feel them with my finger nail..not real deap I guess. I'd say a scratch equivalent to one on a car that can still be buffed out...not sure if that helps. Then there's a few more that are not as bad.
