pimped my computer speakers

I have a set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers for my computer.
They sound pretty decent but they were a little rough outside and the wiring on them was shotty. If you looked at them funny they would cut out. Instead of open ended speaker wire they used a 3.5 mm jack with tiny crap wire.

I got bored and ordered some nice locking binding posts, upgraded the wiring, sanded, painted, cleared.

No more static, no more cutting out. I like the look now so no more speaker grills.

the color is GM Nassau Blue Metallic

i recently picked up an airbrush. slowly everything has started picking up color in my apt. makes everything less boring.

yea, i like em for the size. they do need an EQ IMO. luckily my sound card offers some flexibilit.

i dropped a few db on the lows, plus a little in the mids, and kept the highs where they were to make these speakers more neutral. the sub on these things is a bit overpowering, i keep the knob low and dont change it.

i actually picked up a set of the newer 5.1 ultras without the sub and controller for a good deal. going to install binding posts and throw the front 3 in my bedroom and the extra two im taking to work.

I have many of those satellites. Really good speakers, even in a home theater.

How do you like those Samsung displays? I've seen them at a decent price and have considered picking a couple of them up.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I just picked up the 25" at MicroCenter and love it. It's a little big though depending on how close you sit to your desk; I've got it pretty far back.

They always seem to be popping up on the deal of the day websites so I figured I needed to check them out.

i paid $180ish ea. for these shipped on tigerdirect/compusa after 15% bing cashback (RIP!)

these are the samsung 2494SW monitors.
becareful with the 2494LW, i heard something negative about the actual display inside being a different size or something about the quality but cant remember for sure.

overall the monitors are really nice. picture quality over dvi is great, vga not so much or atleast not on my work laptop.

they are TN panels so the viewing angles and colors arent as great as IPS panels but for half the price and better refresh rates im cool with it. these monitors have no "buttons" but rather touch sensitive controls. they looks clean but functionally crapy.

i do wish i would have bought 1 2494HM (has an HDMI port) instead of one of these SWs. I use my 2nd monitor more as a TV then i do as a monitor so not having to swap dvi cables would have been nice.
