Planning on getting a new TV..

I currently have a 42' Vizio that i got a few years back from winning fantasy football

But i'm looking for at least LCD 50'- 55' 1080P TV. LED are a little out out of my price range for those sizes.

I've looked at tvs from walmart, bestbuy, frys , sears & tigerdirect.com

I heard on the radio Star Power has cheap prices?

Anyone know of any deals out there?

For the DLP people, can ya post how yall have it setup in your living room ? DLP will be my last choice if i do get a new tv.

To your last point... we've got a 50" Samsung DLP in our family room for 3 years sitting on a nice cabinet from rooms to go. It sits up pretty high and out of the way from the little kid's fingers.

90% of flat screen TV's don't get wall mounted... if you have the room for a DLP and it fits better in your budget... by all means, go for it!

Samsung 52LNB750 - 240hz, internet widgets (yahoo, weather, youtube, blockbuster, etc) great dlna and it will even play movies through usb/attached storage. I've seen them at Fry's lately for $1499 with a free BD player. Best TV you can get for that price/size period.

This is what we have in the living room and got tons of compliments over the holidays on it. The 240hz is definetly noticable watching football in HD and action packed movies. We love it. Plus it has more than enough inputs for all your gadgets.

In the pic taken from about 25' away it looks small but in person it looks great. The damn wall is just so big.

We got it at best buy but paid more then what you say fry's wants.

Oh come on man you gotta put those components in a closet!

Thumbs up for wall mounting though... I can't tell you how many people buy a flat screen and throw it up on a dresser.

I am building a cabinet into the wall to the left of the TV. Doing a glass face and accessable in the rear thru the back bedroom (gym). I just have to talk the wife into it. For now we just have it all sitting there on the sub woofer until we can do that or find something we like.

Hell even the 40" Samsung in the bedroom is mounted up on the wall like that.
