SD Memory Cards?

I need to get an 8 gig for a camera I got for Christmas. Wally World has one for 20 bucks but several others up to 70 dollars. From the product desription it looks like the read/write speeds are better on the more expensive ones. Is it worth it? Are some brands better than others?

It depends what you are shooting. With sports you want a quick read time. If you are shooting portraits you dont. I shoot weddings so I don't really need a really fast card.

don't know why I didn't think of them. With my luck, your story is about as close as I'll get to that deal.

thanks for the input. I thought it was all about shutter speed on the camera.

Depends on how fast you're writing the files to the card. It can also depend on file size, and FPS.
