CD track splitting Software

Does anyone know where I can get some free software that will allow me to take a downloaded MP3 that is one long (e.g. 1 hour/15 min) single track, and split it into several tracks? Thanks.

Audacity should do the trick.

Open the MP3 file in Audacity. It'll show two tracks, one left ona one right. It'll show the music in a scope type format. Go into options and change the bit rate it will be saved at to 320. That's cd quality.

Now, back to editing the tracks.

Find the beginning and end of one track. Click at the beginning and highlight the single track. Go to, FILE - EXPORT SELECTION -

Make sure the format in the box that pops up says MP3. Follow the prompts and save it wherever you want it.

Do the same thing for the rest of the tracks that you want to seperate out.
