air space for a receiver (home)

Right now I just moved my receiver and put in under my stand. Now I'm worried about it getting to hot. There is only 2 inchs above the receiver. Then its glass above it. Is that enough room to get air to it and not get to hot and burn up.

As long is there is adequate circulation and it isn't completely enclosed in a cabinet you should be fine.

sounds about right on top, what about space on the sides and in the back? Waht brand reciever also? Onkyo's are known for getting pretty hot and I can vouch for that one. More airspace the better but it sounds like you should be ok.
