BluRay player recommendations?

Ok, I think most will agree that the PS3 is the best of the BluRay players out there. I sold mine a while back so I could get back into actual gaming with an XBox 360 (a move I DO NOT regret). However I do want to go back to playing bluray movies.

So what are your BluRay player recommendations? Price should be the top consideration with playback quality being a close 2nd. Special features are OK but not a big consideration for me. I rarely ever used any of the BluRay extras when I had the PS3.

Regards...

I was honestly gonna say a ps3 when I saw the title. Other than that...I don't know. Aren't they still $200+? Can't you just pick up a used ps3 for about that? The ps3 is my only experience with blueray but I've heard that a lot of the players out there take forever to boot up.

PS3. Even if you don't use it for games, you have a unit that you can hook up to the net (wirelessly) so you get software updates, and it has a hard drive you can store a bunch of music and pictures on. And hey, there might be a game or two out there that you want to try that are only available on the PS3.

How much would you like to pay? The PS3 use to be the only real good option, but times have changed. There are players on the market with superior decoding and audio to the PS3 that are cheaper.

If you have a computer hooked up to your TV, you can get a blu-ray player for like $60-70 for a computer.

oh yeah... you can probably build a HTPC for $300 these days. I picked up a mobo/cpu from frys last week for $99 (AMD x3 and Asus mobo). Newegg has a Gigabyte video card that has HDMI and HDCP compliant for $30, $60 LG blu-ray player, $30 for 2gigs of ram, $50 for a micro atx case, $40 for a 160gig hd...

Just an idea
