an hdmi out from your computer? laptop or desktop? if its a desktop a vid card with dvi/hdmi out is less than $50.

for $115 id just a vga cable if possible.

Ummm not sure if you have experimented with dvi out cards and tried a dvi to hdmi adaptor; but they SUCK!!!! An HDMI card is $100-150+, and a compnent video card is like twice that.

i've used a dvi to hdmi cable before. what exactly sucks about it? there is 0 quality loss, dvi is just a bigger cable without audio.

i agree about the DVI into HDMI adapters sucking but not cause of any quality issue. the adapters put a fair amount of strain on the device's hdmi port. the HDMI into DVI adapters shouldnt have the same problem.

it's best to just buy the built cable so you dont need an adapter period. they are nice and cheap from monoprice.com

as far as dvi out cards, that's the only video out i have on my computers. they work fine. i know you have to mess with your resolution out and adjust your tv's mode for them to display all the pixels properly as 1:1 pixel mapping. some tvs and projectors are friendly (samsung) others are not (mitsubishi).
