busy morning. i made a 2 ch. dvd-audio disc from 96/24 FLAC files. i'm guessing it works but i can't test it. i should have known, but the ps3 (SONY) doesn't do DVD-A. had to abandoned the dvd-a idea for now and went back to dvd video.

I still wanted my 96/24 audio so I found a program called LPLEX to create a dvd-image from flac/wav and other lossless files. that did it. burned to the image to dvd and now the processor is showing 2 channel PCM at 96khz/24 bit. that makes me smile.

program is: http://audioplex.sourceforge.net/
program is all cmd window and the settings are in an ini file. use the readme file and it will make sense.

lastly the the ps3 wouldnt output 96/24 over optical so that pissed me off. time to buy a nice universal transport that will support cd/dvd/sacd/dvd-a. have my eye on a nice pioneer unit but not sure if i want to hold out for the matching parasound unit.
