Granted I haven't heard every song, but even $4 may be a rip off. Not getting glowing reviews.

Yea, I'm not exactly impressed.. Disarm and Atom bomb was much better, and IMO that wasn't much of an album either..

Ha. I'll correct myself and say that they haven't been hit or miss (mostly missing) for 20 years now.

For me, they're in the same category as Dave Matthew Band: there's a lot of musical talent between all of them, but the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. The only difference is, U2 can write a good pop song, DMB can't write anything that would be classified as 'good'.

What's funny is that you...assuming you have some musical background (which probably isn't the case) are bass ackwards. DMB has more musical talent in their pinky than U2 does in their whole body.

Carter...the drummer, is possibly one of the best drummers of our time.

I'm not really a fan of the band, but that black dude can bang some skins. What's crazy is that live, he shows no apparent effort in doing so either.

I don't think he meant that U2 was on the same level as DMB. I'm pretty sure he meant that both bands are full of great musical talent but just aren't nearly as awesome when you add up all the talent as a band.

Don't get me wrong, mad respect for DMB.

From the clips I heard, it sounds like they ripped off several bands.

1/19/09, the last day of Free America.
Pericles "Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it. "

"[T]he people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government and to reform, alter, or totally change the same when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --Samuel Adams

The whole thing is that U2 doesn't really have any musical talent. They're mediocre musicians, that make mediocre at BEST music. But, for some reason...people eat that shit up.

Saying DMB is talentless is the stupidest fucking thing ive ever heard. Slowhand, Id love to hear your thoughts on music talent since you seem to be this sites musical connoisseur.

Well my dad owns every single one of their albums... Lol. I guess that's their audience.
