Laptop Speakers

i just bought a new laptop and i have a ton of speakers that i want to see if i could hook up . is there any way i can get an adapter that plugs into my laptop and has a connector for the black and red wires from the speakers?

Go to Best buy, Radio Shack, etc. and get a connector to plug the sires into and make it a mini RCA jack (I think that is what it is called).

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

just get something like this...

you should be able to find a cable or adapter like this at radio shack.

this isn't going to work well.
you are trying to plug in passive speakers to a low current audio output jack. if it works, sound output will be extremely low but i wouldn't risk it.

you need to run the laptop's audio output into an receiver/amp and the speakers connect to it.

it would be easier if you used computer speakers that are amplified (plug into wall).
