Plasma / Dish

No its not the same issue as before.

It seems that our dish was slightly moved during this crazy wind we have been experiencing. Our reception is not 100% and there are swiggly lines going across the screen as a result. Now my question is, will this hurt the plasma and possibly "burn in" until i get this corrected?

TIA
Mike

you can stand watching tv with squiggly lines? i'd get up there and just fix it.

if the lines are moving it shouldn't hurt it at all.

i dont think the reception would cause the lines. if it was mispointed it would be telling you no sat signal found or it would be cutting in and out.

squiggly lines would be interference related. are you using a coaxial cable from your sat box to your tv or something?

Prior to the storm we just had it didnt do it. It also doesn't do it when i put in a DVD which makes me think its the dish. I dont want to start messing with it simply because i dont want to make it worse as its not that bad as it is.

Call Dish and make them come fix it. I had a problem with the sound on my DirecTv, on some channels (only HD) the sound would cut off/squeal (sp?) but the picture remained. They sent a dude out, he replaced part of the dish and fixed it, no charge.

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

Does your plasma have an anti-screen burn function? My Samsung has a feature that moves the picture every so many seconds. Regardless, call Dish and have them come fix it.
