a good radio with mp3 plugin

i plan on getting an aftermarket stereo soon, nothing fancy just a fm/cd player but i want it to have a plug to where i can plug in an ipod or zune. i don't have one(ipod/zune) but my friends and family do and whenever they ride with me it would be cool to be able to just plug it in and listen to whatever they have. i am not gonna be putting in subs, amps or any of that. just the deck. maybe some better 6x9's down the road, but that would be about it.

would i be better of going to a store and buying one new? or looking on craigslist? like i said it doesn't need to be anything fancy but i also don't wanna buy a cheapo brand either.

i'm guessing a basic pioneer, alpine, sony, etc. will do fine?

also do you think i could get one for $100-200?

thanks

If that's all you want to spend, you could go to CL way, or just go to Best Buy and pick up one of their low ends with an AUX IN input, either in front of rear. I picked one up a couple years ago for about 130 with AUX IN input on face plate.

pm EW or call him up 1st to see what he has available.

Don't they make one of those cassette plugin things that can play the iPOD or MP3 palyer via your current cassette deck? That would be hella cheaper I would think.

Her's one

I bought my Alpine CD 9874 new on EBAY for $47.01 and that included shipping. The place that was selling them was out of McKinney. It has the MP3 plug in, and it's very nice.

good/cheap...

clarion all the way.

i picked mine up like 4 years ago at fry's for 75 bucks. and it's still trooping along. although, lately i've noticed processing going in and out. music gets loud, then not loud. but i'm also thinking it has to do with my amp because it's running bridged at 2Ohms and it's not capable of that. i just haven't gotten around to buying a new amp.

LOL, they make one that uses FM channels too. Like the portable Sirius radios. Once ya get one, no need to ever play CD's again!

sorry it took so long

EW got me hooked up with an alpine that is exactly what i need! it has an aux in and a usb in on the front..which by the way is badass(usb in)

i bought a 4gb flashdrive the other day and put some music on it. it plays the music from the drive and if i have the music seperated into folders i can sort through them and play what i want. to me it's a broke mans ipod

thanks again eric!
