FOX dash and door speaker ?

I was just wondering what everyone is running in their FOX. anyone just running 2-ways in the doors? or are most of you running components? what brand? what's good, what's not? I had some Polks in my last stang and they sucked. I had Alpine's in my Lightning and they sucked. the Polks didn't have a clean sound and the Alpine's sound was hollow. I was running everything straight off an Alpine deck.

anyway, any help will be appreciated.

Agreed. A good set of speakers isn't going to perform like it should by just running it off the deck.

There are a ton of options out there. What's your budget for your front stage?

You should run a nice set of components up front and amplify them and u will get your best sound.

After checking out many different brands of components for the front and only being happy with the way a set of $1200 Boston Acoustics sounded, I decided to try a set of CDT's. I am (was) really happy with them. I got them on sale for $150 or so. Later, I upgraded from the 3/4" tweeters to the 1" and that made them sound even better. The 1" silk tweeters were smoother and had a little more upper midrange sound. They will play loud without distorting, and have a little bit forward sound, which also brings out a lot of detail. Check them out.

I had the HD-62's

To make room for their new 2009 line of high fidelity home audio products, CDT is liquidating inventory. For the first time ever, prices on CDT's high-end components are being slashed by up to 70% off. Many of these items are being sold at or below CDT's factory direct cost. Take advantage of this one time opportunity to own a set of CDT's world renowned speakers.

Yes.
You can get speakers first BUT you have to be very nice to them if you're only running deck power and no crossover on them. We have components from $99-$850.

yeah, I know. I figure the dash will be an easy choice. I'll just find some clean sounding 3.5" and call it a day.

anyone have any custom work done to their FOX, like custom door speaker panels? I was even thinking about doing something in that direction.
