Panasonic or Samsung (Plasma's)?

I'm still waiting to pull the trigger on a big plasma, but I'm waiting til the prices come down some more. I can get the the Panasonic (58 inch ) through Amazon for $2799. free shipping, BB has it for $3499. but the Samsung has a 63 inch for $3499. ($4600. @BB) while the comparable Panasonic (65inch) is 5999. @BB

I'm wondering if people still buy TV's at Super Bowl time and take them back, I could probably get hooked up sweet after Feb. 1
Also when do the new televisions come out?, I know they are kinda of like cars, but at a different time.

Samsung series 7-9 tv's are simply badass imho. Have you looked at amazon for a Pioneer Kuro 60"? Not sure what they are running these days; but we install/integrate alot of them in our homes and they are the shit! Don't get me wrong I own a pani and like it; but wished I had gotten a samsung.

Samsungs are more affordable than the Pansonics, but the Pioneer's are expensive, like Sony expensive. I have heard that there are only a few Plasma screen makers and everyone shares the same hardware minus electronics, frames. Don't know how true that is, but I find more info on the Samsungs with problems then the Panasoncs, if I'm spending 3K on a TV that bitch better last for yrs. without any problems like my tubes have been.
