Whats the better tv?

I am in the market for a new tv but I am undecided on which of the two is better.

From what I understand, LG makes the screen for the Vizio.

I personally got a Vizio for Christmas from my parents last year, and I love it.

If I remember correctly, Vizio is a slightly older technology than what is currently out for lost manufacturers. Not hat it is bad, just not the latest and greatest as far as what is available. Doubt you can really see much difference in them if set up properly.

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

Both would be fine, but between the two I would go with LG Electronics.

I've seen some good Vizio displays hooked up to a good source.

Costco has been running some really good deals on the Vizio tv's. I almost bought the 37" LCD 1080P @ $650 for a bedroom upgrade, but bought a Wii and some games/accessories instead...

Like it's already been said, I've always heard Vizio is LG's previous years technology... It just depends on if that's worth a few hundred bucks to you.

LG is Lucky/ Goldstar, they have been around for awhile and are the company that purchased Zenith a few years back. Their TV's are good and have few problems.

Vizio is relatively new and they are their own company. They are not necessarily LG's old parts inside. From what i have seen, Vizio purchases an old model line of a major manufacturer and installs it in there cabinet. I have come across some that are LG on the inside, some Samsung, and some that appear to be Philips.
If there is a problem with a Vizio you may have difficulty getting service or parts.

As a TV tech, my preference would be the LG - between the two choices.

Edit: Correcting the origin of LG's name... I reread some of the info that they had sent my company years ago.
