Thanks Grant, there is some very good info on that site. I've bought a Panasonic 37in LCD for my bedroom, I couldn't go any bigger or I would have to buy new furnature. It works great, the blu-ray movies are spectacular, better than any movie theater I've been too. I've been looking at replacing my family room TV with a bigger Plasma, the Panasonic 58 in (850u) is what I have my eye's on. The bigger 65in is nice but not 3k more nice You know, 7 more inches diag. or 3 1/2 per side, I can't justify paying $6200.00 ($6900. at BB) vs $3200.00 for the 58in. I'm probably going to pull the trigger in Jan.
I guess I should look at Mitsu too, their last TV I bought the 40in tube Diamond has lasted me 9 yrs and I just recently hooked up DirectTV digital and it looks great as well, not as bright as my new Panasonic, but it has no blur whatsoever. Mitsu has always been top of the line expensive.

Have you looked at Costco? I thought they had a 62/65" Panny Plasma for like $4500 or maybe a little less. I wouldn't drop the extra coin on that small of a size difference either.

That's pretty common for plasmas.

I just got a smoking deal on a 65" Panasonic on eBay. Now my 50" is going in the game room. The 65" is an 07 model and was a demo. All factory warranty intact. Awesome PQ and Blu-rays kick eternal ass on it. I need to get the newest Avia DVD and get the picture dialed in correctly.

Question

If it's the Panasonic 65 (750u) then it is a great deal, I wouldn't mind having that one either, if you don't mind me asking what did you pay?

yes, its a 750U, DOM 8/07. I got it for $2200. Had to pick it up in McKinney.

Check out the eBay dealer name "2ndturn". They sell demos and store returns. Larger units like this they won't ship and will list as pickup only. For those items, you are really only bidding against local folks.

The good thing is you have 14 days to confirm its all good and they give you a retail receipt so you can register it just like you bought it brand new.

Holy shiiiit! Thats a great fucking price!
There really isn't a big difference on the 750u to 850u, not $4000.00 difference.

yes, the 850 is much improved with better contrast ratios and support for 1080P/24 (native bluray). Still looks sweet and can't beat the price. Damn thing even has a built in subwoofer!
