Lightbulb Wireless Netflix Roku Player...opinions?

I'm curious if anyone is using this and what your opinion is on the quality? Netflix says they stream 480p DVD quality for the time being. And that you can get DVD quality streaming if you have a minimum of 4 Mbps Broadband connection. However, they do plan on streaming HD quality content in coming months. Therefore, the box has connectivity to a digital TV in preparation for HD streaming.

I am very interested in this gadget because of 2 reasons: Wireless & HDMI connectivity.

Can I get an X box for $99? That's how much this little guy costs. I read about the X box and a couple of Blu-ray model players being able to stream Netflix. And, of course, the model Blu-ray player I have doesn't do streaming.

Roku is $99

And I'm not a gamer, so for me the X box is just a more expensive Roku device.

Nobody has tried this yet? It's been out for a while. I'm just trying to get some real feedback before I drop a c-note on it.

No, it won't.

The only devices that will currently stream Netflix are...

- Netflix Roku
- TiVo Series 3, HD, and HD XL models
- XBox 360
- Samsung BD-P2500 Blu-ray player
- LG BD300 Blu-ray player

Yep. And it's not just old stuff. Wife and I just got done watching a 2008 new release via streaming using my laptop hooked up to the TV.

They also stream everything that's on the Starz movie channels. You can also watch Starz movie channel live through Netflix.

Not just old stuff, there's new stuff as well and lots of TV Shows, Documentaries, etc. Pretty good selection and the quality is decent.

Negative sir. It'll benefit you to research torrents and how the XBOX can stream videos from a PC. So...legally of course...you DL a video and than watch it on your TV via XBOX.

If you were to do things that some may consider illegal, which of course is wrong and not what I'm saying to do....you could save a ton of money.

Just sayin.

As a matter of fact the PS3 will stream Netflix movies with software that you download and configure on your pc. Go Here
for info...I run it on my PS3, and while it's only shareware, it has the same great quality as streaming on the Xbox 360, which I have as well.
