Connecting theater system to my Plasma TV. Help!

So I got this theater sound system last year as a Christmas gift and I never hooked it up until today . I ran all the wires and stuff, BUT I ran into a problem. My Plasma tv only has a digital audio output only and my surround sound does not have that connection.

What do I need to make this work? I'm really trying to spend the least amount as possible since it was just a cheap Insignia sound system.

hook up your satellite, DVD, or cable box audio outputs to the stereo system and use it as a switcher.

My Dish box and PS3 are both hooked to my Surround system directly with optical cables for the audio. My TV sounds is always all the way down. No need for the audio to come from your TV, get it directly from the source.
