TV Antennas

I bought a Phillips 'bunny ear' antenna set from Wal-Mart about a year ago..

But i usually cant pick up Ch8 ABC in hd and its really choppy on CH11 CBS, can anyone recommend any good antennas out there?

( I have an FTA satelite box and just want a good antenna that will pick up all HD channels that are available locally)

They sell better quality antennas specifically for HD ...
They don't look like antenna's really either, they just look weird.

Try going to Best Buy or Circuit city. They will tell you what you need. It will cost about 50$ but it will be worth it.

not sure if this applies to the HD antennas, but the type of antenna you need to buy depends on your location because of signal strength and obstacles I believe. The antennas have a color rating based on the type of reception you need. You can go here to determine it:

You can use rabbit ears to pick up HD channels, but if the broadcast is too far, you will need something to boost the antenna's range.

This place has several options for long range antenna's

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

Ok that antenna web site said I needed a long range directional amplified antenna to get the digital signals here in Terrell. I can pick up digital signals for 4, 8, 11, 13, 21, 27, 33, and 58 with rabbit ears that are 7 years old. I just cannot get 5's digital, 5's analog reception is not good either. Do I really need one of those damned $100+ antenna's on the antenna's direct website?
