Thanks EW for the W505!

Finally got the 505 installed last Saturday and can't be happier to have tunes playing in my truck again. Thanks Eric and Patrick for a job well done! So far I'm pretty happy with the 505 compared to what it replaced, a W200. The player overall is faster switching between things and being a new iPod enthusiast I love the ability to display Screen Art and prevent it from looking so plain like it did on the W200.

I'd post pictures but it doesn't look any different than any other W505. Thanks again for a great job!

I'm changing things up quite a bit with the interior and install. I'm putting in a couple of new amps too, and swapping the rear bench seat out for buckets, and they've been at the upholstery shop forever. I finally got them back last week and I've started gutting the interior when I have time in my schedule. I just want to do everything at one time, and even though the head unit only takes a few minutes to swap out, it won't do me any good until I get the amps and stuff back in, so I've patiently left it sitting in the box.

Ya, Eric mentioned that you were redoing your system. Should be interesting to see and hear once you get things done.

Do you have the Imprint setup for your W505?

No. I use the H701 for all of my processing.

I can only hope that everyone in this thread has an alarm/theft system.

Just the factory alarm for now but I'll bet getting something soon.

In either case, that's the second theft on my truck and my days of daily driving it are pretty much done. I've got a daily driver that has nothing worth stealing out of plus it gets better gas mileage. The truck will now be relegated to trips out of town or occasionally the drive to work where I really don't have to worry about theft.

No way the Mustang gets "good" gas mileage. Hell the truck right now gets better gas mileage. I know a lot of that is because the Mustang isn't tuned but it's still a supercharged car with 42# injectors and a 255 LPH fuel pump. It's gonna drink some gas. I bought the Taurus off my mom because I wanted something cheap that got good gas mileage and I wouldn't be tempted to start dumping money on. But it's got some reliability issues right now of it's on

You interested? I'm seriously considering it, just do not have the finances at this point to finish it and I hate seeing it parked there all the time
