LCD or DLP TV?

Would you guys recomend an LCD or DLP? I was thinking something around 46" but I haven't found any DLP's online smaller than a 50".

My old tube TV had just about had it, so I need something new. I figured I'd get something bigger and hd since I have to get a new one.

DLP is brighter and cheaper. I bought a samsung 61" and LOVE it. Whichever one you get make it a samsung or a mitsubishi if its a DLP

Unless you want to hang it on the wall, or have something against going a little bigger, I think DLP is a better choice.

We have a 46" Samsung DLP HDTV that's about two years old and it has worked flawlessly thus far.

I was really leaning towards the dlp myself, just wanted some other opinions.

Who locally has the best prices? Who online have ya'll used in the past?

A friend of mine just got a 52" Samsung LCD (1080p) and it definitely has the "your right there were the camera man is point of view". I just got a 56" Samsung DLP (1080p) and it doesn't have that same point of view because it is projection but its still an awesome tv with a great picture. Only downfall is that if the bulb ever goes out they run around $250 - $300 bucks..

From my experience, Fry's usually will have the best sale prices and then you can get the other store to match it. BB takes an extra 10% off the difference, and Conn's does 15%.

If it's not going to be mounted and you have the space it's pretty hard to beat a DLP. If space is an issue or you want to flush mount it, LCD.

My DLP has a better picture than the Samsung LCDs I've been around, and also a better picture than my Samsung plasmas. My plasmas have a great picture; it's just even better on my DLP. A lot of it may have to do with the settings, and of course the source material, but I haven't been overly impressed by an LCD yet.

Amazon had the best prices on Samsung DLPs because you don't pay shipping nor taxes.

Could be.. I haven't messed with any of the settings on mine yet... I guess its time to explore.

Well my crt tv is on it's last leg, so I need to get something now. Something internally on the vhf is messed up. Channels 2-13 don't come in, even if you hook up something that needs to be set on channel 3 or 4 (ie vcr, or video game) it won't show any picture. If it wasn't for that I would not even be looking at tv's right now.
