Anyone used the Clarion DRZ9255?

Well my pioneer premier is starting to show its age, it won't eject cd's anymore..and after pulling a cd out of the unit, it won't play them either I am looking for a new headunit for sq, and have heard good things about the clarion DRZ9255. Also looked at the Pioneer P1, but you have to get the add on signal processer which is some more change.

I am a clarion dealer and I would probably say that they are about average. Nothing amazing but nothing horrible.

If that is your idea of average for Sound Quality, what is outstanding in your opinion?

Oustatanding would be using some a processing peice such as an imprint processor made by Alpine. Or even the MX8 processor by JBL. The MX8 was used in a BMW last year by one of our trainers Mr. Biggs and won SG with it on a factory speaker and head unit setup. That is what I think is better than average. These units give you parametric EQ that also allow you to do time correction, imaging and staging through a tidious installation and tuning process through your PC.

Thats processing though, not pure SQ... You can get Audio Controls and PG processors the same and time allign and what not, but the SQ is still one of the best out of that Clarion.

I will say though for the money, the imprint is the shit. I got that in my Z and I love it. The simplicity of setup is sweet. I love that I never have to mess with my shit either. It just always sounds good.

I'd like to check that out when I get in town sometime if you don't mind... I've heard a lot of good things about it, never heard one though personally.
