should be the same motorola box as the comcast boxes from back in the day.

they have composite video + s-video but you shouldnt use those otherwise whats the point of an HD box.

the older hd models had component and DVI.
i believe the new ones added HDMI in place of DVI.

if its an older box you should be able to upgrade to the new box for free and use an HDMI cable otherwise you can use a DVI to DVI or DVI to HDMI cable depending if your tv has a DVI port. you would have to run a seperate audio cable too if you use DVI.

I don't have anything right now, just basic cable. I was going to get a DVR for the girlfried, so I was gonna go ahead and get the HD. MY TV has HDMI ports, so I will just use that. I just wasnt sure what connections the box would have.

It depends. If it's the single tuner HD-DVR, it will not have an HDMI, but will have COMP+DVI. If it's the dual tuner HD-DVR, it will have COMP+HDMI.

that is gay. I don't really want a dual tuner, but I may have to get it. That is interesting. Thanks for the update.

I got it last week. Kind of a pain in the ass if you ask me, but the girl wanted it. So I got it for her.

Yep and its $5 more a month we switched to the dual tuner over the weekend I think it looks worse then the single tuner with component cables. LG 42" Plasma, maybe the cable isnt that great but from what I read not to waste money on cables when its only 3-6ft.
