Anyone into old receivers?

I have a Yamaha 2020 receiver from the 70's. Solid wood, and heavy as hell. Left channel is blown out. But other than that, it's in good shape.

Looking to sell it, and not sure where to advertise. Any ideas?

Here's a couple of pictures...

Thumbs up

That was my very first reciever. My now late granddad gave it to me along w/ some Rat Shack STS-1000 for my first "big" stereo. When those work properly they sound AWESOME!

I'd get it fixxed, but that's me.

The "Natural Sound" Yamaha's that size, kicked ass. I don't have a clue as to what repairs would run, though.

Dang, that thing is sweet! Did you try looking up the model number and see if it's worth anything? If it turns out it's not, let me know as I'd love to have something old that sounds good. Would go well with an old record player and some good speakers as an extra system.

Let me know if it comes down to the point of just tossing it. I'll crack into it and see what I can do to get it fixed. It has HDMI right??

100 watts per channel rms. Nice. From about 1979. Was good quality in the day. I don't know what repairs would run, but sometimes the rt/lt channel knob would go bad or get dirty, and fool you into thinking it had a bad channel.

I'm really not sure what the repair would run. I was thinking about getting it fixed, and hooking it up in the garage. But that plan has been in the works for years I've had this thing a long time, and I think it's just time I sell it. I was actually going to buy Randy's speakers he's had for sale(just about as many years as I've owned this receiver ) but I think I'm just going to sell it.

Check this auction out:
ebay

This is a sweet looking vintage receiver and from what I've seen quite a performer also.

I drive ny an old building on Riverside each day going home from work, they have a sign out fron that looks like it is 30 years old, says

Stereo/HiFi repair

HiFi, have not heard that term in a LONG time, they could repair it I bet! They are just North of 121, before Belknap on the East side.

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

Hmmmm, any chance you can get me a business name or address? I'd be interested in talking to them.
