Let's see those media rooms!

Let's see everyone's home theater setup! I like seeing what other people have done to get ideas. Once I got mine functional I stopped working and started watching.

Equipment:
Projector: Panasonic AE2000U
Screen: 106" EluneVision
Receiver: Onkyo 805
Speakers: 2 Polk Audio TC265i and 3 Polk Audio TC65i + an OLD Infinity powered sub.

We plan on painting the room more theater colors, getting a better sub, and getting better seating. I also need to finish trimming out my projector "box" that I cut into the wall. I still have plenty left to do, but here it is in it's current state:

Seating as seen from walking in the door (I know my seating isn't in an ideal spot, but I prefer it pushed back to the wall for everyday viewing):

My Screen:

Equipment closet:

Shelves for movies & such in the closet:

Looking at the seating from the screen:

Screen pictures [bah ... I need a tripod! Couldn't hold the camera still enough to show the quality]

Let's see yours!

Still working on mine. I've installed recessed cans and am working on the surround wiring.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Circuit city still carries them. They are usually in the home audio section.

Hadn't seen this thread in a while ... lookin good guys!

For those with black painted ceilings, did it make a big difference? My wife has her heals in the sand about that currently, but one of these days I'm going to do it regardless.

It made quite a big difference in our room with the projector. It really darkened the entire room down with the projector on. It's amazing how light your room is with the lights off and the projector with a light scene. The black(actually dark brown) ceiling made a huge difference. The room actually looks pretty good (IMO) with the dark ceiling. We went with some lighter walls just to make it not look so dark and gloomy.

I had posted in the Pic and Vid forum, but then I didn't know this thread existed.

Started as a fireplace...

Turned into a dedicated media wall...

I tried just a flat black at first and it looked good during movies, but like ass any other time. I re-painted the ceiling with a flat charcoal (not so dark) and it looks very good. The ceiling disappears when the lights are off - no more dancing light patterns from the reflected light of the screen. If you do it - prime it first - I didn't and it took alot more paint to cover than it should have.

I closed my post-production studio about a year ago and moved the edit suite home. It's in our family room now.

It feeds a 54" rear projection HDTV as a client monitor and that monitor serves as our family television. I have surround running from a consumer unit but the studio mackie monitors wail.

system is an Avid Adrenaline HD with 2 gigs of Ram, a terabyte of storage Genarts Sapphire plugins, BCC effects and After Effects.
will be for sale next February if there are any editors here who are interested.

This is not mine but I have a similar shaped room and this is what I am working towards. I am also planning a similar bar in the back like this one. I dont care for all the white, but this is pretty close.
