You can use a coat hanger or the equivilant to get it out all you need is to pop it enough that you can pull it out.

If you can't get Dan's coathanger solution to work, just do what I did, take the car to a CarToys location and ask one of the guys to use their tool to pull it.

I've got a set of the ford stereo pullers that is shaped like a U. Basicly there are two holes on both sides of the radio that you put the U in and push out to the side and pull. Not sure if the 98< have the same sort of thing. If so, you're welcome to borrow them.

if you have a coat hanger that is strong enough, then you can bend two of them in the shape of a "U" and put them in the holes on each side of the stereo, then pull while pushing the two coat hangers outwards. (towards the doors) if the coat hangers aren't strong enough, then you can go to any walmart's stereo department and purchase the pullers for about $3.00. i've bought them there probably 5-times, each time, i lose them for some reason. anyways, good luck.

I saw your other post and I must say you shouldn't have used the coat hanger. I am sorry that I didn't post sooner.

I would have given you a set of pullers for the ford. Any circuit city would give you a set also.

BTW,
Your face came off because hangers are difficult to get to work. You pulled extremely too hard. Once the radio is "unsnapped" it will slide out with minimal effort.
