Wall mounted my first lcd.

Went pretty smooth. At first I was worried about not having a stud to mount it to, but Tim(8mg) assured me toggle bolts would work. Thanks for the help,Tim. I made my Lowe's list and went at it. I took my time so I've got about 3 1/2 hours in it. I think it turned out pretty good. Now I'll actually want to watch tv in the bedroom every once in a while other than just falling asleep to it.

Looks great Jimmy!! Im glad you went ahead and re-ran the wiring for the TV. Just to let you know, those big holes in the bracket are made to put an outlet in Dunno if that one stud was in the way or not to move the outlet inside the bracket.

Anyways, good job... its a lot easier than you would think isnt it?

It's just a bedroom tv, so I used regular coax. It runs off the Dish HD DVR in the living room and that's good enough for what we'll use it for.

Yeah, the center part of the back of the tv is thicker than the rest of it and it was wide enough to cover a good part of those holes in the bracket. I wasn't comfortable with the tiny clearance that left, so I put the outlet under the bracket.

It was pretty damn straight forward. The only thing I had to make an emergency trip to the hardware store for were some 3/16 x 7/8 flat washers to go between the toggle bolts and the bracket. I had everything else covered and I got a fish tape, drywall saw, and coax stripper out of the deal.

Nice we have the same TV in the kitchen and the wall mount is awesome. We did have to buy an additional speaker for it so that the sound didnt sound so shitty.Did you have this issues also ?

The sound is ok for what we use it for. We basically only turn the thing on when we get in bed. If we used it more often, I would add some extra sound.

It wasn't. Buy an old work box, cut the hole, run some 14/2 up the wall off the outlet near the floor, done.

The color she wants, she gets. I like it better now that the table is gone and the new curtains and rods are up. Bamboo blinds are next.

It came from Best Buy. I got it as a Christmas gift so I don't know how much it was.
