sirius radio newbie!!

I just recently installed everything and it works fine except the reception is not well!! I am having trouble finding the right frequency i have tried the frequency finder on their website for my area, I have also tried numerous frequencies no luck. anyone else have this problem???

i use station 88.3 the most, and then 88.1, 88.5... no problems here...

The hardwire install kits will fix the problem.

They work until you drive into an area that actually uses those frequencies. Get the FM direct adapter. Works like a charm.

Thats what I had to do, Mine wouldnt work for shit till I put the fm booster in .

thats weird, i drive a rig all over the state and never have any problems... if one gets a lil static i just switch to another, sure the kit could get rid of that, but its not like its hard to just switch from 88.1 to 88.3...

The one in my truck works great without the booster thing, but the one in my company car sucks without it. Fred you prolly have an older one like mine in the truck. when I called Sirius they said they had to turn down the power on the newer ones so you have to use the booster. Its a gimic

The older Sirius radio models do ok with the wireless stuff. The newer ones have less powerful FM transmitters thanks to the FCC.

Agree, If it's not directly hooked up to the receiver, you will have static and crappy reception.
