Slingbox

Anyone have one? After installing my 3rd one for a customer today; I must say it is kinda growing on me. Although I don't really have a use for one myself; I can see the benefit of one for someone who traveled alot or had to work nights or weekends. Your opinions on them if you have one?

I've had one for a few years now. The mobile version is the shit. I can check scores, shows, etc from my Treo from anywhere, I can check the DVR to make sure it's set to record on the road, etc.

I used to watch it all day at work, when I was onsite for an extended period of time.

My wife got me the Slingbox Pro for my birthday. Works pretty good, but I can't get a decent virtual remote for my HD receiver (Dish's vip722). I hope its added on the v1.6 SlingPlayer update.

I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

Ive had one for a while now too. The only problem Ive ran into is having firewalled internet connections on the road that will not allow me to access it. Hopefully my new phone for Christmas will be easier. Other than that it works pretty good and I get great smooth flowing video and sound. My wife is starting a tour in iraq so we are going to find out how well it really works soon.
