04 mach system

I tried to hook up some subs to my friends mustang mach 1 with a mach factory speakers and head unit. My problem arrises when i attach the little box that converts the sound into RCAs so i can hook up the amp. Are you suppose to hook in after the factory amps, or before? I hooked in after the amps and cant seem to get any sound. If im making sence to anybody, i would appreciate your help, cause i have this car torn apart in the trunk.

You need to use a 80watt line out converter and it will go after the amps.

Not sure man. I would think an aftermarket stereo shop that does custom installs would sell them. I bought mine out in California at a custom stereo shop. It was about $20.00. Just call the local shops and ask for a 80 watt Line out Converter.

Here's a decent link showing where you should splice in the line-out converter.

Just make sure you use a 80w or it will sound like crap.

Yeah it does, i cranked it up all the way messing with it but nothing. The funny thing is, i get a signal from where im tapped into the factory speakers, but no signal is coming from RCAs out of the converter. I dont know, prob defect.
