Phoenix Gold 1400.1Ti?

Is this amp big enough to run 2 12W7s? I already have the amp, and 1 12W7, but I am getting a new car, and wanted 2 12s in it. The amp pushed 1 of em more than fine, I had to turn the gain down to about 30%. Other option is 2 12W6v2s of same said amp (I have a 12W6 NIB). What would sound better?

that amp is trash... i'll give you my 500/1 and a broken Razr for it...

that amp is way to much for either of those subs lol. whats the actual RMS on those bastards? 1200?? jeeze... you'll have more than enough power with plenty of head room on either sub you pick. might be a little overpowered on the w6

the w6 is gonna give you slightly better SQ and the w7 is going to give slightly higher output. if you weigh the price differences, the w6 is the winner in my book. if you really care about the extra 100 watts then spend the extra $250 a sub.

No what I meant was would this amp drive 2 of the W7s... I know it'd be good for 2 W6s, prob still too much. (it specs 1480 watts RMS at 2 ohm and 1110 or so at 4.) It POUNDED with the single 12W7, but I want 2 12W7s because I am dumb and I have 2 sets of Utopias going in the car, so I want some damn concert tunes in there... It's gonna sound like a club up in that bitch I hope... Will it hold down 2 12W7s? Again, I already have 1 of each... so I just dunno which to buy, or just leave it one 12W7... one 12W6 would be smoked with this amp, it would probably drive 4 W6s...

hmmm the 7s would have to be 1.5 ohm or 6 ohm

is that amp stable @ 1.5 ohms? if so then it should be a good amount. 700 rms with some headroom would be good. maybe a little much but there might be some distortion from the low impedance

6 ohms should put you around 900 which wouldnt be enough... honestly i dont know... i've never played/heard any SQL applications under 2ohms... if your okay with 1.5 ohms, you should be okay as far as power.

IMO you cant beat 2 w6s in a HO as far as SPL with JL. never heard 2 but 1 w6 or w7 in a HO sounds rediculous. slightly less punch though compared to the spec sealed box
