Is burn in a legitimate concern?

I am looking at this TV, but am worried about burn in as I have 3 kids. Sales peeps say it isn't really a legitimate concern these days. It has gotten great reviews everywhere I have seen, and Circuit City is going to match an online price of $1399.

Seems like a good TV and a good price, but the possibility of burn in is the only thing holding me back.

Any experts on the subject?

You should always be concerned with burn in on a plasma, it is less of a concern than years past but it is still something to consider when spending that kind of money. Technology has come a long way in the last few years and they have come up with ways to combat the chances of burn in, but I'd still be weary of playing video games for extended amounts of time, leaving the tv on channels that have the logo in the same place all the time, etc.

Of course none of that would stop me from buying it if it were me, you just have to be a little cautious of what's displayed on the tv for extended times
