Good amp

Ok i have been everywhere asking people what amp would be good for my sub to sound good and people come up with $550 amps and i dont want that. I have a power acoustik sub 12", 1600 watt. Need something that will make that sound good. mono no bridging, i already tried bridging a 2 ch and it sounded BAD!!!
Someone please help thanks. I really just want a good amp watt that would work on it but if you know a good brand too thats great. Thanks Guys Luke

wrong forum BTW

1600 MAX not rms man. prolly rated at about 700 RMS so i would push it with around 400rms since its prolly overated.

ebay: mtx 421D
bad ass fricken amp dude... owned one myself and its amazing how much power that tiny amp puts out

ebay: kicker kx1200
heard many kicker amps and they sound great and put out great power for the price.

Those amps are little workhorses. It will run at 1 ohm all day long.

If it sounded bad bridged then it was either the amp or the subs fault, not because it was bridged. Sure the thd goes up when the impedance goes down but on a sub you shouldn't be able to hear it anyways unless you are using a total POS amp.
