moving a/c controls down and putting radio in their place

......in a Fox. Has anyone done this? was it difficult? Can it even be done? I have an automatic and it is nearly impossible to get a cd in and out of the damn thing

Thanks,
Tim

yeah i swapped them.. was easier than i thought it would be, the hardest part is gonna be mounting everything and smoothing it back into the dash. you have to extend a few wires and a vacuum line on the a/c control, thats about it. if you have a 90+ you will have to relocate the airbag computer to give enough depth to put the stereo up top. i just flipped it over 180* so its under where it was before. but yeah like i said the hardest part is gonna be matching the bezels to the dash, and even that shouldnt be too hard.

Its an 87, so no airbag issue at least. I'm going to tear it apart today and see what the story is. Thanks for the responses.

Screw all that. The a/c stuff is staying right where its at. I have some gauges in the center vents, so I just moved those down and the radio will mount where the vents were.
