I would go with the Kenwood deck, I have owned three different models and the only reason of taken them out is to upgrade the model. In fact I still have the first one.

Thats a cool looking unit, I just saw it at Circuit City this morning, and you really cant beat the price, I wish Kenwood would add that color their Excelon Units.

I would buy a pioneer because of all the additional features you get over Kenwood for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$

By the way if you are interested I have a Kenwood Bass Tube that's really nice and really cheap. I've had it about a year and have no use for it now. If you just want a little "bump" in the ride I will let you have it for $50.00 (I paid 299.99). It does have the amp built in and if you go with the Kenwood deck you will be matching.

Go to:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1341377616

It is identical. Except mine is an 8", I think I would have to go look, but all the specs are the same.

I took the plunge and bought the Kenwood Z828 Mp3 head unit and love it. I like the high volt (4.5V) preouts and non fading sub output. It had the built in crossover and systemQ adjustments. I found it for 500 bucks at Mobile Audio or something on Collins and 30 in Arlington 100 bucks cheaper than CarToyz.

The name of that place is Mobile Elecetronics I believe. The cool thing is that everything that guy sells is negotiable. Congrats! That's a nice unit.
