Need Some Installation Help....

Here's the deal. I have a 2001 GT with the Mach 460 system. I want to remove the factory head unit and replace it with my SonicBlue RioCar and add an amp since the RioCar only has preamp outputs.

The problem: Almost every stereo shop I have been to says it's not possible without changing the speakers. I know this to be false, I just don't think they either A) Know how to do it or B) Want to mess with it. So, anyone on the forums work at a stereo shop (or otherwise) that could do this for me?

I dont know if Im right here or not...but the factory system might running off a factory amp...IF SO, you would probably have to run new speaker wires from your head unit to each speaker

Unless the factory amps sre in the dash like mine, then you can just cut and splice.
