Polk 6.5 SR what amp setup would you use?

OK I will be buying a pair of the Polk Audio SR6500s for me Stang. I am debating on the amp I should get. My options are a 2 channel Polk or use the bi-amp wiring setup and use the 4 channel Polk.

What would yall choose?

Well when I went out to Tweeter to listen to them they were power hungry. I compared them to JLs and Focals in the same price range, and I relly liked how the didnt distort at higher volumes. The tweeters (silk composite) don't tear your ears apart.

Well If you knew what price I am getting them for you would buy all of it. I might buy the SR series subs but I havent heard them. Freaking Tweeter didnt have them when I drove over there.

Only 50 damn thats what I got at Fry's. I am buying them directly from Polk, and the discount is a little better.

No, it's okay buddy. I didn't realize I was dealing with god's gift to car audio here. Let me remind myself "Has anyone here ever done bi-amp wiring in a car before?"

LOL, I'll keep my knowledge and/or opinions out of your thread, have a good day.

LOL, if you guys only knew how much overhead there is in stores.

If a store sells everything to everyone at 20% over cost, how are they going to pay rent, phone bill, electricity, employee wages, advertising cost, etc?

If you ever wonder where all the knowledgable salesmen went from car audio, they left to go make some money. (Like me.)

Well I meant that question to be aimed at DFWstangers, not the entire world. If you did do that before I wanted to know if it was just over kill or not. Could you tell a difference when you got to tuning???

I don't see the point in Bi-amping if you're still going to go through the passive crossover. You need more channels of power to produce the same results.

Well I dont exactly have to, since my Eclipse deck has high and mid outputs on it. Also with the C400.4 amp it has the option of bi-amp wiring.

Quote:
With the C400.4, you can power a pair of Polk/MOMO (say that four times fast!) Components using the active crossover inside the amplifier instead of the speaker system's passive crossover. Ditch those passive crossovers and wire up your MMC Series Components directly to this amplifier. Then press the C400.4's Pre EQ Switch and instantly get greater dynamic range and higher efficiency with your MMC Series Speakers. Love to tweak and tweak again? Audio perfectionists would die to have this feature on their amps. You could be one of them. And you don't have to die. This time.

I just found that out and I am sold
