Thumbs up Thanks EW!

I've been "stereo less" since they broke into my truck and stole my last Alpine deck. I decided to go with a DVD deck that I've been drooling over everytime I go over to AutoSound. Can't wait to make a long road trip now

Before pictures

And last Saturday...

And this morning after a quick wash before I headed to work

I was really wanting a flip out screen at first, probably because of the fact that it's somewhat more stealthier when the vehicle was off and you weren't using the screen. But EW was sold out of them and the W200 was the last one he had and I didn't feel like waiting.

I really wanted an Alpine deck, especially because of the touch screen and the feedback "buttons" and the fact that it can play VCD's and DVD-MP3's. The fixed screen is really growing on me and it's fairly easy to use and navigate through the menus.

I can't think of one thing bad to say about the W200, I'd highly recommend one if you can still find one in stock anywhere locally at a reasonable price

Don't smoke, drink, or go to a Mavs game for one week and your alarm install would be covered. Hell, sell your Mavs tickets and you'd really be set.

The stereo and the truck look good,

Might sell my IVA-D300 for one of those. Add the PXA-H701 and be amazed at what you can do!!

Now would you like to have your cruise control switches work both the cruise and the stereo system??????

Let me know, hmmm bet it would work on a Mustang as well.

I'm not to worried about the pictures anymore. I hardly go anywhere beside home, work, and various friends house.

Good looking Alpine Jose. I have the Flip out version that Eric hooked me up with. You're gonna love yours the more you play with it. I've even got the TV tuner add on. That double DIN version is nice.

Sup Rock! Ya, Eric was telling me that you had one. Which model did you get? How is the reception on the TV Tuner?

The past two days I could have really used that TV Tuner as I was away from home and wishing I had some kind of portable TV to watch the NBA playoffs on LOL!

What does that screen do when you just have a CD in there? Does it have any kind of screen saver?

It just shows the title or track info. It can show video, nav, camera, etc depending upon what you have installed while listening to whatever source you want.

So you could pop in a CD and listen to some tunes while the monitor shows navigation or rear-view, that's cool.

They stole the fuel filter and the radio but left the XM tuner? That should tell you which one is better in the XM/Sirius argument

<--- new car has XM, wish it had Sirius.

The broken glass was a nice touch. Thieves need to die! Get an alarm ASAP.

The W200 supports playing VCD's so you could make your own video's or screensavers and play the video while listening to music or burn some music videos onto a disk and play them. I was watching some movies the other night on it that I had downloaded off of the internet the other day and burned to a disk which was pretty cool.

I had the factory alarm on it and it was enough to scare them away from taking even more. They didn't bother with my wallet that was in the door pocket (bad habit that I will not repeat again) that had close to $200 cash and a bunch of credit cards. And they left my work bag alone that had some stuff in it like DVD's and other things. Better alarm is going on next

When the crackheads stole my Avalanche it had my checkbook (had close to $15k in the account at the time) in the glove box with a pretty nice digital camera. They left the amp, cap and the subwoofers but ripped off the head unit and my pre amp. Sadly the most expensive thing they took was the bed cover they left off, freakin $700!

Pager alarms are your friend Well pager alarms and an assault rifle.

I had my Talon get jacked twice and my Avalanche stolen all in less than a years time and I had no problems with Allstate. My rates didn't even go up.
