Buy the best sounding speakers you can afford. Dynamat the door and door panel very well. JL Audio, MB Quart, Boston Acoustics (as well as others) offer many good sounding models to choose from.

Focal, and some of the line sound okay, for 800-100$, otherwise, I don't care for them, dollar for dollar.

Go somewhere else and listen to different brands. Focal makes nice stuff but for an average every day consumer there isn't a reason to spend more than $200-300 on a set of components.

Check out Diamonds, Morel, MB Quart, Kenwood, Alpine, Infinity, Boston and JL products before making a purchase. I personally like the higher end Diamond, Quart and Morels but everyone has different tastes.

Going to Cartoys for car audio is like going to Pep Boys for performance products. Sure they can get the nice stuff but 99% of their customers buy whats on sale or pushed by the salesman. Every once in a while you might get someone that actually knows what they are talking about though.

Mobile Sound on Cooper, down by UTA on the left. Monty or Nick can help you out. Tell them Brandy sent you!

The Auto Sound over there does some nice work as well, you drive right by it.

i'm no audiophile, by any means, but i know that i like the components in my wife's truck...they're Dynaudio 240 MKII, and they're as good as i could've hoped for.

I've had both focal utopia's and the polykevlar line and loved both sets. But if I had to do it over again i would go with the Dyn audio line because I loved the way the silk tweeter sounded. Really can't go wrong with any of the above listed set of components.

They do good work and stand behind it.

Btw: there is a crank it up this Sunday at the Green Oaks Hooters. I might finally get a meter on my Sonoma

Will have to check the flyer when I get home. I think it starts at 10 and goes til 4, thats pretty much the way they all run. This isn't a sanctioned event, it's Texas Bass Productions.
