Looking for a good alarm.

I want to get a good multi channel alarm system. I want to be able to roll down windows with it, trunk pop, locks, paging with display on the remote pad. What is a good brand to get, and how much.

Speak with EW, then try to beat his quotes. It probably won't happen with any of the major vendors around the N. Dallas area. If he does not post here...PM him..."EW".

Take care,

Take care,

Yes EW is the way to go......He is very knowledgeable about his products and can probably do whatever you want with an alarm. His prices are very hard to beat....his prices are set so his store can make a profit and stay in business, but not set to gouge the customer with high ass markups.

So what are the good brands these days aside from the ever present Clifford line?

I like the Clifford G5 products the best for security. Way more possible functions than conventional alarms, better sensors, etc. Clifford Matrix models are tha same as Viper, python, sidewinder, hornet, etc. Basic products.

There are 4 G5 models to choose from. Retail installed prices range from $329 to about $2500 if you max one out with GPS tracking, every sensor, window module, etc. Most of our G5 sales are in the $400-800 range and most are with the Concept450 as the alarm and then we add other functions to it depending upon what each person wants. www.clifford.com

another vote for EW, if you want to check out my Clifford alarm that they installed just swing by the Ft Worth g2g on 4/4. I didn't need the window rolling feature, but if you are gonna make it out there pm me and I may be able to get my brother to come with. His Clifford does the windows too.

EW all the way. Thanks again Eric.

You're welcome. Your alarm is more elaborate than most people are willing to do. I'm glad it works well.

When it comes to my car I'd rather not settle for the budget alarm. I had one on another car.... and I wanted something better for the orange stang I've been very pleased with it.

Another vote for EW. I have the G5 Concept 450 he stated above and they were done in about 4 hours. I didn't get any additional options installed because I was a little short on funds.

So far I have had my stereo install, alarm install done by EW and I have 0 complaints with anything. He also took some time last weekend to check the in deck cross-over settings to be sure everything was right. I thought I had a couple of blown speakers, but it was just set up wrong. The quality of work even without the best prices is enough to keep me going back.

Why do they call it "Common Sense" when it is so rare?

AutoPage is a great alarm. Check out the RS-860LCD
http://www.autopageusa.com/t_inside....A-5F6FD435F2AC

I chose this one cause it was simple to use, packed with all the features I wanted, and the company has been around for a long time.
