Better not buy a new Mustang with the Shaker 1000 system! To think I was planning on hitting up WFC this year, not if the police will have the right to seize my vehicle.

What the fuck!

But the new measure would outlaw possessing or installing any car stereo with a speaker over a foot in diameter; having more than one speaker 10 inches in diameter; more than 10 speakers overall; more than two amplifiers; and any amplifier over 300 watts.

Well I only have two amplifiers, neither of which is rated that high. I only have 9 speakers as well so I'm good there. The 3 12s though, dammit! Personally if I lived in St. Louis I'd do the train horn mod.

"the new measure would outlaw possessing or installing any car stereo with a speaker over a foot in diameter."

So if I already had a 15" in my car would I be grandfathered? Would the city pay to have it removed professionally? Where is that video of the guy making a bunch of noise with one 6.5" in a custom box? If I remember correctly it was installed in a VW.

"more than 10 speakers overall; more than two amplifiers; and any amplifier over 300 watts"

Aren't there some high end cars that brake this law from the factory?

Yes, even the new Mustang comes with two 10" woofers and 1,000 watts of power if you option it out right. The VW Passat comes with 10 speakers and 600 watts RMS if you opt for the Dynaudio system.

Hey it can do it for a split second if you short the output leads and feed it a 20k hz sine wave at about 8 volts! If Pyramid, MA Audio and Audiobahn can get away with it why can't Ford?
