stereo prob PLEASE HELP

Ok so i have a 1986 gt with "premium sound" in it and i ripped the factory system out because it was a piece of shit. I bought a pioneer deck off of my friend and was going to install it but needed an adapter so i went to my work to get the harness adapter but they didnt have one for premium sound. What should i do, i asked best buy to put it in for me but for some reason they wont do it, they said i have to re-wire it from the top of the dash down. Is this true? please put ANY info that could help me out with this. WHAT CAN I DO I NEEEEED THE RADIO

I just rewired mine. It isn't hard. You can get off easy by just connecting the wires that you unplugged from the amp. then wire the original harness that went to your old radio, into your new one. If you have any questions you can call me for help. 817 846 7314
