airspace for a sub

Does any body (Adam or EW) have the program or formula to figure out airspace for a sub. I have an unuasual sized box and need some help with getting the right deminsions. My sealed size is .85 with the speaker displacement of .184. TIA

what kind of sub is it?? how many watts going to it?? are you going to want a more "boom" or "tight bass"

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Simple formula (Length X Width X Height )/ 1728 = volume in cubic feet

All measurements are in inches on the inside of the box. If you are working with outside dimensions remeber to subtract the wood thickness and any braces or dividers (your box does have bracing inside I hope!)

He wants to build a ported box specifically for this sub. He knows how to calculate internal volume.

I was going to design you a box, but my stupid box building program decided to be metric today, and I don't want to fool with converting everything, so I'll deal with it later.

Btw: alphasonik doesn't list the BL anywhere for that driver do they? I would like to know the motor force.

Hey adam do you have that program on a disk by any chance? I had it on this computer but it decided to commit suicide and delete itself cause i didnt and jackie didnt. so it must have done it on its own.

That's annoying as hell. Here's a box for you.

2.2 cu/ft, tuned to 32hz, 3" port, 6.1" long.

winisd gives you what would be ideal frequency curves and everyone tries to get as flat as a response with that program as possible....dont do this, itll sound like shit . I never use that crappy program anymore. most of the time the best way to do it honestly is go around ABOUT the manufacturers specs if you dont want annoying flat spots in your bass.
