XM Radio

Installing a Roady2 in my 00'GT. Where's a good place to put the antenna? I was thinking trun so I didn't have that stupid antenna cable strung across the roof. I guess I could put it on the hood just as easily. Anyone know of the best place? Thanks.

I guess you could glue it on the hood.
I would remove the cowl panel and install the antenna under there. Best place is on the roof.

Agreed, that's where I had mine, before I took it out. I had the Roady2 as well.

I have a Roady2 as well. Try it inside on the dash. Go drive around and see what kind of signal you get. Some people say it works fine. I didn't want to mess w/ it so I just put it on the roof.

XM will generally work in most cars with the antenna on the dash. SIRIUS? Forget about it.

My mom has siruis in 2 cars, both of which have the antenna on the dash, and both work great.

And I've seen about 1000 instances where it didn't, so she's the exception, not the rule. *I* wouldn't go to the trouble of putting it there with the probability of it not working very well. *I* would put it somewhere that would work right from the start.

<-Has Sirius antenna on rear deck under factory panel. I don't get antenna errors. They do work the best on the roof.
