Which amp would you run?

My sub: Audiobahn AlumQ12
* Size: 12 inch
* Sensitivity: 96.4 dB
* Frequency Response: 18-500 Hz
* Recommended RMS Power: 1000W
* Peak Power Handling: 2000W
* Impedance: dual 6 ohms

Current amp: Audiobahn A8000T
* 4 ohm mono 400W X 1
* 2 ohm mono 800W X 1

Amp i'm looking at: Soundstorm Labs F2800
* 2 Channel MOSFET Bridgeable
* Max power 2 ohms 800W X 2
* Rms power 4 ohms 300W X 2
* Bridged power 1600W X 1

The audiobahn or the soundstorm?

Of the two I'd say the Audiobahn is a better quality product. Not a big fan of either brand but then again if you are on a budget I guess you have to buy something.

Buell 1125R
Raptor 700R
No fast cars though

ohm load

That3 ohm load is limiting your options. I'm not knocking your woofer, but maybe you would be more satisfied if you switch the sub for something with a dual 4 ohm setup so that you can run it at 2ohms bridged and get all the power out of your current amp. There are a few woofers out there that will match up perfectly.

Image Dynamics IDMax 12, Adire Audio Braham 12", MTX 9500 series 12", Alumapro, Resonance Engineering (can't remember the model). This is just a few off the top of my head.

What kind of price range are you looking to pay for subs or the amp?

run the jl slash series amps. a 500/1 should push it but I have a 1000/1 that's good for 1000 watts 1.5 up to 4 ohms if you want to push it hard.

I would go with audiobahn but just out of those two, my favorite amp is the rockford fosgate T1001bd but like greenman is saying 3ohms makes it little more difficult. I've never liked jl but i hear they have an amp that pushes 1000 watts in any ohm load from like 1.5 to 4 (something close to that) and that should work perfectly with the 2 dual 6 ohms at 1.5. Lanzar amps are pretty cheap and they put out decent power vibe268 is a 2 channel 2000 watt i believe.
