Question on an old amp

I got an amp given to me by a relative and I think its 5-10 years old but its been a while since I kept up with car audio.

The amp is a Kenwood KAC-949. I have not had any luck finding specs for it online. Does anyone remember this amp or have any ideas on where to get more info?

It's marked as a 200w x 4 max which I would imagine is at a 2 ohm load. Any ideas on realistic output for it and what would be good to use to push some subs? I was thinking either a pair of 10s or 12s or just going with a single 10 or 12.

Thanks for any info and advice.

I had a kac 949 and a kac 959-damn that was along time ago, anyway both were like 60 watts RMS @ 4 ohms X 4. The 959 had a fifth channel that was 120 watts RMS. I was using those amps to bi-amp 2 sets of seperates and the fifth channel on the 959 was for my subs. I rember trying to bridge the 949 into 2 channel to run my subs when the fifth channel on the 959 died. I wasn't pleased (not enough power).

What were you trying to push with it? Thanks for the info.

My subs were 2 10" orion 8 ohm in a big ported box. I forget the specs. They were wired in parallel for 4 ohms. I ended up getting a Fosgate punch 200 and was happy. This was years ago. I wouldn't use that Kenwood for subs though. Mids and highs were its strong suits.

Thanks for the advice. It does seem more suited for that since it has no built in crossover.
