I also have Sirius in both my vehicles for about the last 6 months and I love it...Octane 20!! I also have heard XM and wasn't really impressed, oh btw Sirius customer service kicks ass too, everytime i've been on the phone with them, I get right in and the people go out of their way to help.

I listen to XM all day but I bought Sirius and I like Sirius' programming better. I think XM sounds a little better in most cases.

I have XM because my Sony head unit is XM compatible. I like it. Sometimes I have trouble finding something I want to listen to, but I think that unless I could choose each song, I would never be 100% happy. It's 100 times better than FM.

I didn't care for XM much, have had Sirius for a while now, and I really like it....but it probably depends on your music taste.

I have XM. Still trying to get into the music channels. I usually listen to Opie and Anthony or talk radio.

I can not believe that either company would be in discussion with him.

I have both as well. I've had XM for a couple of years. Just got Sirius last month in my wife's car. The rock stations on Sirius are much better than on XM, IMHO. Octane 20 on Sirius is great.

Yeah... Wasn't he on a station in Austin for a while, and now he's not? I don't know how successful he'd be outside of the local area.

I have Sirius and I like it. Haven't listed to the radio since I got it. There are a lot of rock stations to choose from, which is the main reason I got it. I got tired of the two rock stations and tons of Mexican, pop garbage, and "stupid motherfucker" stations that reqular radio has. They have that stuff too if you're into that. I don't miss regular radio at all. I have never had a problem with signal or service either. It dropped one time when I was in a parking garage, but that's it.

I listened to Russ when his talk show first came on and it was OK; now when I tune over his show it seems like it's still the same old stale stuff.

Buddy of mine got XM and he's pretty happy with it. I think he mostly listens to the talk shows. I do the same but I listen to 570/820/1080 on AM since it's free

sirius hands down. had XM before, programming sucked.

sirius = NFL + NBA, awesome rock stations, awesome rap stations, awesome country.

xm = mlb, new contract w/ the NHL, and a good chunk of the college games. i believe they have better coverage as far as reception goes. (from what i notice driving up and down 35 and in denton) i could just never find anything i really liked on XM i was constantly having to switch the station.

i will vouch their comedy channel 151 is pretty good, i havent listend to channel 104 (sirius' comedy station) yet to really compare.

I personally have XM Radio and I'm pretty happy with it.

I've heard from numerious people who have had both XM and Sirius that the Rock Stations are better on Sirius and offers NFL, NBA, and Howard Stern. XM on the other hand (again from what I've heard from others) has better sound quality (more CD like) and less tendacy of dropping as well as Oppie and Andy and MLB.

I think both companys allow you to listen to some of there channels online. I'd probably suggest doing that and seeing which you prefer better.

XM's sound quality is better from what ive heard. i talked to one of the head reps that comes to our work and they say sirius borrows bandwidth from other channels (like non-popular stations) to compensate for the channel that is popular that has a lot of listeners.

like i said before in my post above, both companies are great, just depends on your personal preference when it comes to programming.
