Question about Equalization

Does it sound stupid to run two EQ's in a system? One a trunk mounted EQ and another in dash one so that you could tune the one in the trunk and make changes with the one in the dash depending on the music? Or is there no point in having two and just to go with the one in the dash?

No, not stupid.
The EQ in the trunk would basically get your car to "zero" and then the in dash piece would be used for personal taste, to adjust for road noise, for song-to-song adjustment.
Excellent idea. The EQ in the trunk needs to be tuned with a RTA for the best results.

Audio Control EQL, EQS, EQT's
PPI EQ31, DEQ230(Justin D in OK. has a DEQ230 for sale BTW).

Well the trunk mounted EQ I bought came in yesterday. I went with an old school HiFonics Plato to match the pair of HiFonic's amps I have. At the time I thought it would be a good idea to go with all HiFonic's gear but after seeing these Audio Control EQL's, I should have gone with these instead. Definetly look pimp

There was a chrome cased one for sale also but no picture.

My car is just set up to SPL. I have an old old autotek 1600 that in gonna use when I get my other Rockford amps to puse some better highs. But right now, I just have both of my BD.1000's turned all the way up on seperate remote bass knobs and a bunch of EQ features on my sony.

Audio control easily one of the best EQs/Crossovers out there in my opinion.

What color is it? And how much you want for it? I'm going to see how this works out but I might snag it from you for a later project

I have used, the Audio Control EQX, and the Phoenix Gold EQ 215, I found that the sliders on the PG unit, was much easier to adjust, than the dials on the EQX, I spent many hours playing with it while using our old RTA, had a setup for everything, ended up having a series of colored marks for each setup, for quick change

It is a bad boy but the P/G EQ 1/3 octave is and has been the best rated EQ on the block for the past few years... just my .02 cents... espicially since I have one I am biased haha
