car audio for dummies

hey can someone give me the rundown on what i need to do and spend to set up a nice system. In my stang i got the Mach 460 and i want to put in two 12s. What all is involved in that. Pretend your talking to someone who basically knows nothing about car audio cuz i pretty much dont know nada. Is this something were i can go out buy the equipment and set everthing up myself or am i gonna need somebdy to do it for me. Also whats the deal with an amp. Ive heard that some new subs dont even need them but what do they actually do.

Thanks alot

I guess if your somewhat electronic savy you can do it yourself, but if not, just do like I do and contact EW on here. Eric is a great guy and will give you a great deal on product and install .

BTW, JL Audio Amp and Sub's ROCK!

JL subs and amps are damn good if you don't mind dropping a few bills. Go to EW and he'll hook you up.

Easy to add 2-12's to mach system. You'll need a custom built enclosure so it will fit into the trunk and be the proper airspace for the woofers, 2 woofers, amp, amp wire kit, possibly a speaker level converter, and a low voltage trigger. Price will vary greatly depending upon brand and model of product selected.
